This is a shot of the eastern face of the Matterhorn mountain of the Alps. Pushing the photo’s colors to the extreme revealed an interesting, almost neon-like, color palette. It flips the sunrise of the original shot into a scene evoking a sunset. I liked how this effect blurred the time of day of the scene, much like neon lights in an urban sprawl contrast the dark of night.
Contrast and balance are written into the very fabric of existence, not only at a physical level but at a spiritual level.
