I sat by our abandoned pool in the backyard one day in early autumn. It has become quite the frog pond. Perched on a table near the pool was a tiny frog, the size of a thumbnail. I snapped a live photo of it as it sized up its jumping ability with a plant a foot in front of it:
It was quite the leap of faith for a little one, and it made me think of trust. When life seems to have led us to a dead end, at the edge of what we can bear, it might be God showing us there’s something better just around the corner.
