It is a deeply beneficial activity to earnestly pray and dialogue with God about his will for your life.
You ought to, in accordance with Christ, who is alongside you in the yoke you share, to start identifying and declaring the steps that will move you towards him and that will. God loves to see a soul rise out of a lukewarm stupor and start to take diligent, persistent advances toward him.
With more media produced these days than one could ever watch in a lifetime amidst a culture of binge-watching, we must declare and commit to life goals that keep us focused and drawing towards the ultimate goal: heaven. We need to avoid a tepid lifestyle. Christ shares how he feels about tepidity in Revelation:
“I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing; not knowing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. Therefore I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may be rich, and white garments to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nakedness from being seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and chasten; so be zealous and repent.”—Revelation to Saint John 3:15-19 (RSVCE)
It is time to surface those deep urges and feelings from the Holy Spirit… those “I ought to” feelings that gently prompt you to change something about your life, and to make a plan and take action.
